PROCEDURE

The first meeting takes place between client and artist at either subject's home or artist's studio to determine basic portrait design, canvas size, pose, type of clothing, setting and lighting.

At the next meeting a photo session takes place by the artist of up to 200 pictures - this process lasting about two hours. With small children , the process can be divided into two sessions.

Several options will then be presented to the client from the photo reference . A final composition is agreed upon.

Because it's less of a drain on time and energy to clients, I've found it's better to work from photographs than private sittings. I prefer to take the photographs myself whenever possible. Sometimes, however, it may be necessary to work with photos you have on hand, or to assist you or your photographers in providing me images. Either way, we will work together in determining what will be the best resources for creating a successful portrait.

Time frames for completion will vary depending upon the present waiting list for portraits and the complexity of portrait

Before completing the portrait, I will show it to you for final approval. I will then do any touch-ups to adjust the image to your satisfaction.

Works will be provided unframed. However, if you prefer, I can have it framed for you or assist you in getting a frame.

Additional sizes by quote. Additional subjects or paintings each at 20% discount.

A deposit of 40% is due at the start of the process; the remainder will be payable when the painting is completed and you are satisfied with it.
